I graduated in 2017 from Caldwell University with a Master’s degree in Counseling with a Mental Health Specialization. The program was accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), meaning that my program was evaluated and deemed to meet or exceed national standards in counseling and prepares students for entry into professional practice. My time at and after my schooling gave me experience working in outpatient, partial care, and in-home environments with all ages and all peoples with different diagnoses. With the help of the schooling and experience, I am currently a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) certified. I am confident that my experience can assist me in being an effective counselor to address your counseling and growth needs.
Counseling Philosophy and Treatment Approach
Counseling, in my eyes, is a process where we confront our fears in an attempt to create a path to our ideal selves and future. Through a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and an eclectic mindset, I hope to work with you and support and assist in your growth.
Hobbies and About Me
On my off hours, I spend my free time reading, expressing myself through arts and crafts, spending time with family and friends, taking care of my two cats, and out exploring. I also am currently studying how to further incorporate spirituality into counseling. This work/life balance allows me to maintain my holistic wellness.
