Experience: I have been fortunate enough to gain diverse experiences through working in inpatient, outpatient, residential, day programs, and school facilities working with all age groups ranging from children to adults. I have experience with many different modalities of therapy including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, mindfulness therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and counseling for addictions. Some examples of the populations I have worked with have struggled with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, anger management, eating disorders, autism/spectrum disorders, addiction, mental health, and developmental disabilities. I have facilitated group, individual, family, and couples counseling.
My passion has always been to help others. I strive to develop a genuine relationship with my clients in an environment that is welcoming and free from judgement. I believe in treating each client as an individual, keeping therapy person centered to address your needs. My approach to therapy is a multimodal approach. I am confident in the thought that utilizing different types of therapy can be more beneficial for therapeutic growth and change due to the fact that we all are different and one may be more receptive to one type of therapy over another. My overall goal is to help assist you in the therapeutic process to have you feeling empowered, reaching the goals you want to achieve, and leaving therapy with new skills that you can take with you.
A little bit about me, I enjoy spending my free time with friends, family, riding my horse, and being outdoors.
