I believe that food is an inextricable part of being human. There’s rarely any kind of social event that doesn’t involve food and most everyone has early memories of eating and preparing meals with loved ones. Because food is so embedded in who we are as individuals, I take a whole-person approach to healthy eating and lifestyle. I don’t believe in ascribing positive or negative values to foods – there are no “good” or “bad” foods, but rather, different foods can be incorporated into the diet in different amounts based on how they affect the body. More importantly, eating a food you might deem “good” or “bad” should never affect your self worth. My goal is to find out what works for you as an individual – there is no “one size fits all” diet because food plays a different role in everyone’s life. Together, we can discuss your goals, what motivates you, and what an average day looks like for you. Then, we can work as a team to help you live the happy, healthy life you deserve.
In my free time, I love being outdoors, whether it’s hiking, walking, or finding a park to have a picnic in. I also enjoy cooking, trying new recipes, and giving favorite foods a healthy twist. I love traveling to and exploring new places, both in and out of the United States – in a new city just walking down the block can turn into an adventure.
