Education and Experience: I received my Masters (MA) degree from Argosy University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Over the years I have worked in a variety of mental health settings with both female and male clients with age groups ranging from young children to elderly adults. In the past, I have worked at a psychiatric hospital, in home therapy with families and youth in care, and outpatient mental health clinics. I’ve worked extensively with individuals with chemical dependency as well as dual diagnosis. Transparency, honesty, and respect are important in a therapeutic relationship. As a therapist, I can’t make decisions for clients, but I can guide and help them to understand what works best for them. This is a judgement-free zone and it’s a safe space to explore your thoughts and emotions.
Therapeutic Approaches: My therapeutic style is Eclectic. I use different therapeutic approaches based on the need of the client. These include Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Marital and Family Systems, Trauma Informed, Dialectic (DBT), and Person-Centered Psychodynamic Therapy. I work with my clients to meet their treatment goals in a safe and comfortable environment. I assist the client on their journey of self-exploration and understanding.
About me: During my leisure time I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love to travel to new places and trying different foods. I take pleasure in binge watching Netflix series and documentaries. I enjoy jogging and exercising as a stress relief. I enjoy spending time with my puppy.
