Hi I’m Katy! I’m a registered and licensed dietitian. I recently graduated from Texas Christian University where I majored in Nutritional Sciences. During my junior and senior year at TCU, I was a part of the Coordinated Program in Dietetics where I completed my dietetic internship. Through this program, I was lucky enough to gain experience in a wide variety of settings, both inpatient and outpatient, as well as with patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. Since graduating I have relocated to Dallas and am extremely excited to pursue my passion for dietetics!
I value the time I have to connect with my clients in order to enhance their appreciation and relationship with food. Food is an integral part of everyone’s life- whether it be how we nourish ourselves and/or our families each day, what we look forward to eat while creating invaluable memories, or what aligns with our personal beliefs. With this, I believe in the importance of having a healthy balance between incorporating nourishing foods into our everyday life, while equally enjoying foods that make the core of who we are happy! Rather than classifying a food as “good” or “bad”, or trying to search for the end all, be all of diets, I strive to incorporate all foods into your diet and lifestyle! I appreciate how each person is truly so different, and take an individualized approach to find your harmonious balance that becomes effortless. I look forward to working together in order to make you happy and healthy, not only for yourself, but for those you love closest to you!
Outside of working as a dietitian, I love catching up with friends and family by exploring new coffee shops and restaurants! I also enjoy being outside, whether that be playing tennis or going on walks while listening to my favorite podcasts!
