SAT Extended Time
The College Board provides a broad range of accommodations to students with documented disabilities. Eligible students must apply and be approved before they can use accommodations on College Board tests.  Psychological evaluations including testing of cognitive and academic  functionality is typically required.  An effective report from your psychologist supported by appropriate testing can mean the difference between success and failure in the application process.

Overall Intelligence and Social Emotional Functioning Tests for Teenage Children 
Measures IQ and overall intelligence in teens and measures the individual’s ability to handle math, reading and other academic skills; Measures levels of Self Esteem, Depression, Anxiety, and propensity for disruptive behavior. 
 

Overall Intelligence Tests for Teens to age 18 
Measures IQ and overall intelligence and measures the ability to handle math, reading and other academic skills. Used to answer questions like: Is my child gifted? Is my child intellectually challenged? 
 
ADHD Testing 
Measures an individual’s variability of response time (consistency), response time, impulsivity, inattention. Measures individual’s ability to stay on task, attention span duration, degree of restlessness, ability to complete a task, ability to control emotions and ability to interact socially. Testing uses tools appropriate for teens to age 18. 

Medication Effectiveness Testing for ADHD Patients 
Testing to determine the effectiveness of ADHD medications by drug and dosage. Comparison of one drug to another for effectiveness. Comparison of varying dosages on performance of the patient. Testing answers questions like: Is this the right drug for my teen? Is there a more effective drug. Is there a drug or dosage that will cause fewer side effects. Is the dosage right?  

Teenage Depression 
Measures adolescent’s negative thoughts about self, life and the future, feelings of sadness and guilt, and sleep disturbance. Measures adolescents’ specific worries about school performance, and evaluates an adolescent’s thoughts of anger. Identifies thoughts and behaviors associated with conduct disorder and measures feelings of positive self-worth. 
 
Teenage Anxiety 
Measures adolescents’ specific worries about school performance, the future, negative reactions of others, fears including loss of control, and physiological symptoms associated with anxiety. Measures concerns regarding thoughts of being treated unfairly by others, feelings of anger and hatred. 
 
Eating Disorders in Teens 
Eating disorders come in all forms including refusal to eat, extreme weight loss, significant weight gain and obesity. Self image often plays a role in eating and nutrition. Testing can help determine underlying causes for these behaviors. 

Social Emotional Functioning in Teens 
Measures personality, behavior difficulties, and psychopathology among adolescents. Used to help identify underlying causes of behavioral challenges and concerns. 

Diagnosis Confirmation in Teens 
Bipolar Disorder? Depression? Behavior Disorder? Obsessive Compulsive Disorder? Anxiety Disorder? Posttraumatic Stress Disorder? Is my child’s diagnosis correct? Without a good diagnosis, treatment is impossible. Testing can confirm or correct a diagnosis in children. 

Self-Esteem in Teens 
Evaluates how teens "see" themselves, and explores and determines the underlying causes for those feelings. Provides insight into the reasons teens often have a misimpression of their appearance, their skills and their intelligence. Determines levels of positive and negative self esteem in teens.
