I graduated with a major in psychology from Roosevelt and Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School. My experience has included providing individual and group therapy to various age groups. I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings with diverse populations and a wide range of mental illnesses and life stressors.
“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction not a destination” Carl Rogers, 1967
Carl Rogers emphasized unconditional positive regard, empathy, and congruence. I also think these are important parts of a therapeutic relationship and therapeutic growth. I also understand that sometimes a little more is needed and can provide other evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution focused brief therapy (SFBT), narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing.
In my spare time I love to cuddle with my two dogs, Juno and Harley. While cuddling I love to catch up on movies and books. When not at home or working I love spending time with my friends and going on adventures.
