During my graduate career, I was a full time nanny and was able to appreciate the various stages of development. My life experience and various job opportunities propelled my interest in the mental health field.
Therapeutic Approaches: Safety and warmth are very important to me when establishing the therapeutic relationship with my clients. I utilize my sense of humor and empathy to aid my clients to feel comfortable with being uncomfortable. I am trained to aid individuals, children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in systemic therapy. I recognize how systems can impact symptoms and I can aid various populations to improve their quality of life. I also utilize techniques from other approaches to suit the needs of my clients.
Hobbies:In my spare time, I enjoy curling up on the couch and getting lost in a captivating book. I love to travel with my fiancé around the world and experience numerous cultures. I also enjoy trying new things and will peruse Groupon to find my next adventure. I value connections so spending time with family and friends reinforces my sense of purpose!
