As a Licenses Associate Counselor, I am passionate about helping individuals find their own voice and discover coping skills to deal with everyday stressors. I feel privileged to be allowed to be part of each client’s journey and have had the honor to witness many transformations. I firmly believe that this process begins with forming a trusting threptic relationship. Therefore, I utilize a strength-based approach that meets the individuals where they are while building self-efficacy. I believe each person deserves a non-judgmental space where they can feel safe. I focus on helping them discover the connection between their thoughts, feeling and actions. I incorporate a multitude of evidence-based interventions that include but are not limited to; CBT, mindfulness, person centered, strength based, motivational interview, and SFBT.
I graduated Georgian Court University with a M.A in Clinical Mental Health and my undergraduate degree was in psychology. My internship was at Community Recovery in Freehold, NJ where I specialized in substance abuse disorders. While there, I co-facilitated a group for clients whom were on drug court or attended on their own accord, we incorporated psycho- education as well as motivational interview and mindfulness approaches.
My personal goals are centered on health and wellness as well as balance. I enjoy going on hikes, practicing yoga, and make spending time with family and friends a priority. I believe that in order to have a full life we must be connected in a meaningful way to the things we value.
