I earned both my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Felician University. I completed my graduate internship at a private charter school, working with students from K-8. I went on to work with teenagers of high school age in an in-home setting. I expended in the field while working with adults coping with severe psychiatric disorders in group home, supportive housing and residential settings. My passion stems from my life experience of growing up with a brother with severe Autism and OCD.
As a counselor, I believe in the individuality of clients and the importance of comfortability in the relationship and setting of therapy. I feel all clients should be approached with a clean slate, allowing for the most genuine experience. I would consider my approach Eclectic with the utilization but not limitation of approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing & Person-Centered Therapy.
I appreciate and value quality time with family and friends. I have always been an advocate of the importance of the mind/body connection and the role physical fitness and nutrition can play in our overall well-being.
